"Concierge medicine (also known as direct care) is a relationship between a patient and a primary care physician in which the patient pays an annual fee or retainer. In exchange for the retainer, doctors provide enhanced care. Other terms in use include boutique medicine, retainer-based medicine, and innovative medical practice design."

Venice Family Clinic
Liker Consulting is firmly committed to giving back to the community. From 2002-2010 Dr. Liker served as a member of the Board of Directors of Venice Family Clinic, at the time the largest free medical clinic in the country. He has lent his expertise to numerous Board committees of the clinic, including Medical Practice, CEO Evaluation, and Resource Development. Additionally, Dr. Liker and his wife, Julie, are Co-Chairs of Silver Circle, Venice Family Clinic's largest fund-raising event, which nets over one million dollars per year to help provide quality health care to people in need. Dr. Liker served as Co-Chair of Five Ways Forward, Venice Family Clinic's $23 million 40th anniversary capital and special gifts campaign, the largest campaign in the Clinic's history. Dr. Liker and his wife Julie received the Irma Colen leadership award from the clinic in 2013 in recognition of their long standing service and dedication to the clinic. Dr Liker currently serves on the clinic's Foundation Board.

Save A Child’s Heart
Dr. Liker also serves on the West Coast advisory board of Save A Child’s Heart a charity focused on providing free cardiac surgery to underprivileged children around the world who otherwise could not afford the care that they desperately need.
